#1, almost all HT applications require a subwoofer. Even the RTi12's with their 3 7" woofer and 2 5-1/4" mids needs a subwoofer for all but the smallest of rooms.

These are decent for their price.

these sound great...good reviews at amazon and newegg. got a pair for 100 on CG the other day, but this is great price. i just got lucky!

The 70s were a big step over my Bose bookshelf speakers. No regrets at all. And Newegg was AMAZING when I had a delivery issue.
