If you are into great stereo imaging, presence, and detail,
or have a small studio and can squeeze these in instead of a pair of Maggies,
These speakers will still be standing and sounding great, long after you have 'left the studio'.
#1, agreed if this is your price point. If you can spend significantly more then you can do better (and worse if you chose the wrong brand). But at this price you will be hard pressed to find a better speaker.
These are decent speakers. I'm using a pair as replacements for the wimpy front speakers that came with my Onkyo HTIB.
Best bang for your buck.
Nah, never been impressed with Polk's sound. I agree it's worth the price, but only if you like the sound Polk produces.
