Awesome speakers..
They are good speakers, but awesome is a little too much of a description. I would say Polk's RTi and LSi speakers are awesome. But even these are surpassed by other speaker brands.
Have them. Very good. Not awesome. But, very good.
Let me clarify the "surpassed by other speaker brands"... Polk has great speakers for the price. I would trust these over SONY's and Yamaha's you have seen on this site in recent days. However, as you spend more there are other options from different speaker manufacturer's to consider. At higher prices, tThe *right* speaker for you starts to come down to personal taste.
I have LSi9's and love them. Got them used for $500 for the pair; they retail for $999. There are other choices in this price range from PSB, Taylor acoustics, Klipsch, and others. As you spend even more money then you can consider Definitive Tech, B&W, Martin Logans, Emerald Physics and many others. Then there is the whole vintage speaker selection. It's really a vast sea for speaker selection.
