The point of in wall speakers is to get speakers out of the way or create a sleek look... sort of the opposite of having a sub.
Plus, 6.5" isn't exactly tiny, going down to 40Hz is not THAT bad. On the other hand I don't see the point of the spring terminals for a permanently installed speaker... considering turning a thumbscrew or regular screw is the least of the work getting the audio cable over to them inside a wall.
