Good deal for me- specially 2 batteries included.
It is a good deal. If the batteries were Lithium Ion, I'd be in for one. Not a deal killer though.
The could be giving away tool kits and if they weren't Lithium Ion people would complain. They are nice, I have both, but Ni Cads are OK, especially at this price. You cannot buy one Li On battery for this price, much less two with tools.
Well, it looks like he at least rides a 2t motorcycle, so he is OK in my book anyways. I have 3 gasgas'ers
Nice price. Yes Li-Ion is expensive to start out and if compared to a NiCd set with a smart charger (so you don't cook the cells) it is shorter lived. Li-Ion cells shelf rot in a few years even if you don't use them.
Another thing is to store Li Ion batteries half charged. Thats why cell phones come half charged now
Very weird. May have been my wording but my original post "It is a good deal. If the batteries were Lithium Ion, I'd be in for one. Not a deal kil er though", got edited some how.
This wasn't me
"Not a deal
Knock Knock.
Who's there?
Bacon.
Bacon who?
though. "
Just for reference, I've purchase Milwaukee, Makita, and Ryobi NiCad drill packages over the years. All came with two batteries. The ole Makita was probably the best but all batteries were pretty much dead after a year, two at most. Replacement battery(s) would have cost about the same as what I paid for the drill package with two batts. Don't know if I just had bad luck with these or what but every year or two, I had to shop for a new set.
Purchased a Sears 20v Li-Ion set over three years ago and so far so good. The batts can sit on the shelf for months at a time and retain a full charge. A bit more pricey but so far cost effective and well worth it.
And yes, I am very familiar with battery care. 15+ years of RC aircraft, etc.
First CR back in 74. Quads, Vintage Honda, Kaw, Harley, Triumph, etc.etc..
Your mileage may vary. Not trying to ruffle feathers, just posting my experience..
Figured out the Ben's auto edit feature.
Must be triggered by the word kil ler (without the space).
Post that word (and I assume others like it), and your post will be auto edited..
