Having a CARB compliant engine, these are a bit pickier about gas quality and age than the blowers of yesteryear, but are about the best you can get in the $100 and under price range. Same thing is also sold by Sears under the Craftsman brand for $94 (used to be red colored, now black) and occasionally goes on sale for about $80-85.

It has a consumer rather than industrial grade engine so don't expect too many years of use out of it, otherwise it's hard to beat $50 delivered so long as they made sure it's tuned right which is probably what the initial problem was that caused it to be refurbed.
Lastly I don't think this is the model with the metal bar mulching attachment on the impeller so if you'd be sucking up twigs, acorns, rocks, etc while mulching it will wear down the plastic impeller faster. I'm not 100% certain but the following might be the model with the metal mulching bar on it, whichever it is claims a higher mulching ratio than the 10:1 on this model.
