Why would anyone pay $100 for this no-name player, when the excellent WD and Asus cost the same on Amazon. And the one I prefer among all of them (the Brite-View Cinematube) costs the same, too, and has a better remote, more connectors, etc. This one looks craptacular.
Number 1, Cinematube looks impressive. How is the UI? I have hundred of movies in MP4 format. Would it be a pain to scroll through that many and find a particular movie?
If you get the Cinematube directly from Brite-View they throw in a free HDMI cable. Looks to be the same price as Amazon.. $99.
#3, there's a button that allows page-up/page-down, so it's easy to go through a directory. A little tricky setting up sharing on Windows7 machines (which I finally figured out), but XP is really easy. It's the only one I found that does true dolby digital on my downloaded .mkv files, but you have to set the sound to use RAW format.
