I didnt even realize PSP still existed...You never hear anything about them anymore like you did when they first came out.

I have been watching this deal and it seems like the best one going on the PSP. I have not found anything better on a new one. However, everyone I know has the NDS, and with the new one coming sometime (soon maybe?), it looks like a good package. I'm just not sure about the need for two relatively small screens. The size of the screen on the PSP is what I find appealing; yet it's not touch screen. I'm wondering if one buys this through Dell on the $144 deal, how much of a profit could be made on eBay? I'm betting $20 could be made at least. While that's not a lot of cash, it might be worth it for the fun of it.

the PSP would be flying off the shelves if Sony wasn't so darn proprietary and would make it so media was easier to play on it. This thing would be awesome of I could burn a mini DVD and play it on here instead of needing a special Sony input card that costs an arm and a leg.

In terms of games I like the DS better, but I ultimately decided to get a PSP because it's just more versatile during traveling & on flights since it also plays mp3s & videos.

I agree, the PSP would be the best deal ever if sony didnt suck so bad. And if they made this thing a touch screen it would be universally awesome.

I see MS Duo adapters on sale so you can use your SD cards. Haven't tried it myself but they were like 3 bucks.

Does this have any screen improvements over the PSP-1000 (phat) over than the extra brightness mode?

I know the 3000 coming out has a wider color gamut and other benefits, but was curious if the 2000 has a better LCD over the 1000.

Is this one the kind of PSP that you can mod? Or does the serial number/production have anything to do with it?

#8, thanks for the tip -- I had no idea these adapter cartridges existed. Reviews seem to indicate they work pretty well too...

You can use the SD --> MS-Duo adapters and use the cheaper SD cards. I have done it and they work well.

#13, you'll love all the new 'features' of the 3000's screen.

Do yourself a favor, buy this one.

I have a DS and you can watch movies and listen to music. You just need a "backup manager" e: an M3 DS Real or an R4

I picked up one of these last week. I'm waiting on the pandora battery so I can hack it. I'm planning to install a Nintendo emulator and play all the old Nintendo and Super Nintendo games.

There are issues with hacking the 3000 and its screen. If you're on the fence just get this one. You'll be fine.

    Step 1 -- aquire pandora's battery
step 2 -- get magic memory stick image
    step 3 -- hax0r
step 4 -- PSP becomes awesome.
