Before anyone asks, the newer PSP 3000 has a built in mic and a new LCD (which supposedly has better contrast, faster response, etc). Other than that it only has subtle cosmetic changes.
I wonder what the mic is for. I'm not one to do multi-player stuff over a network or whatever. Anyway, I do think PSPs are great for airplane rides, it makes the time go faster at least.
The mic is probably for Skype integration. The PSP 3000 also has issues with lines and sub-par graphics despite the better screen.
I've had a PSP since launch, and quite surprised at how well it has held up in my kids' hands. I was afraid that they wouldn't be relevant after a couple years in competition to the DS, but Sony keeps slugging along.
PSP is doing ok and handles quite a bit of shock

It seems as though the psp is losing ground though. I bought one via one of the better Dell deals than this and used it for a night. I was not impressed at all. I bought the black model and it soon became a mess thanks to fingerprints on the shiny case. Likewise, I was more interested in this for the non-gaming features and I was surprised at how difficult it was to enter Web addresses. I have always liked Sony products, but I expected more from this I suppose. If this had a touch screen, there would be no problem. I guess the interface was my main complaint in that respect. So, Dell sent me a prepaid ups label and I sent it back. I'm going to try a DS at some point, but not really overly interested at the moment; just surprised that this was not a better product.
very nice but i don't play much of games nowaday.
Not sure if they have fixed the issue of the dead pixels but my PSP has quite a few of them (It's the PSP-1001 model)
price has not dropped much in 2 years. i anticipate a drop after holiday
you call this a deal?
are the older 2000's hackable? 3000 is not right?
this deal appears to be dead?
well I watch a ton of movies on my tv with this. I have saved on the cost of burning dvds so I like this little thing a lot. The game play is very nice and most people just do not use them to what they can do. Also great for mp3s. I do not care about the touch screen crap. I like to push a button and not on the screen anyways. Save the screen from scratches.
