I have one of these and it filters out everything. The water doesn't taste or smell like what you're used to. Better than bottled water.

So much better than Brita - highly recommended! However because it is so through in cleaning all of the nasty stuff out of the water they are slower than a Brita

The water is great...The pitcher sucks...Spills everywhere if you don't hold it just right...The water thats not filtered in the top pours out if you pour at too steep an angle...Buy the bigger gallon dispenser with the tap...Awesome..

I'm very happy with my Brita pitcher. Haven't had Pur in a while so I can't compare. I doubt it is leaps and bounds ahead like #2 claims but who khows, either way this is really cheap for a filtering pitcher.

depends where you live and what water you get. Arizona its a must to have a filter as they let everything through. up state NY has the best tap water. Reno Nv might not have stuff floating in it but tastes like crap. oddly the hose water is nice there though.
