With these video surveillance systems, you'll want to consider the camera most importantly. The video quality and range make the system. I bought one of these and the video is horrible and range is lousy. If you're in a small room, i think it works, but monitoring outside the house, say driveway, and these cheap ones are not good

That is not a bad price though. I don't think the more expensive ones are any better camera wise.
