Was going to mention Harbor Freight, but I see #4 beat me to it. I have two bikes on these in my garage and just picked up another hoist to do the same with a double stroller. They work really well.
#1, you could probably replace the rope with a thin cable and then lock the cable to something on the wall.
these things would be great if they locked up your bike as well..
#1, for those who don't need to lock up their bikes this is great. I just need to get bikes off the garage floor for storage.
These do work fairly well. Way cheaper than trying to put your own pulley system together.
#1 - I hope you are kidding... Where would you be able to install this to free up floor space, and you would be worried about it being stolen???
You can get one at Harbor Freight for $10, often on sale for $7.

Looks like the same one as spotless pointed out at Harbor Freight.
Of course if you don't have a Harbor Freight store near you Amazon would be fine.
Have two of these and agree that they work very well, highly recommend

I've actually been able to hold two bikes with one of these.
Can be used for unruly children as well.
