HA! When did lifting the 5lb bike become too difficult? I figure, if you are physically capable of riding the bicycle at all, then you are physically capable to lift the burp 6'. Jesus, this is dumb.

I don't have one of these but I've been thinking of buying a couple. For me it's not about lifting, though it does make it convieniet, it's more about the hanging points on the bike. Sure you can get hooks for a few dollars and hang it by the wheels, but unless you use your bike on a weekly basis you will need to true your wheels every so often. The sustained pressure on a single area of the wheel will at the very least de-true a wheel. I had a buddy who left his bike standing upright on the ground and after about 9 months the wheels were warped enough that it was not ridable. This is more likely on mtn bikes than road bikes since they can wiegh around twice as much.

#2, better not ride the bike then. Your fat lard body on it will definitely warp the wheels and frame!

Thank you so much #s 1 and 3, for your intelligent and stimulating insights. Do you find time in your doubtlessly busy and important daily schedules to give opinions on all of the products listed on this website? Or did you just feel especially passionate enough about bike hangers to click this link and save us all from the undoubtedly poor decision it would have been for us to spend our hard-earned funds on something that would have prevented such invaluable exercise? Please, if it will squeeze into whatever time you aren't spending philosophizing with dignitaries, or pursuing the next Nobel prize, perhaps you could review some other postings on this website and let us all know what you think? I tremble at the thought of making a purchase that you do not approve of.
