Amazon.com has the Racor PBH-1R ProStor Bicycle Hoist Monster on sale for $22 with free shipping. Store your bike safely from the ceiling of your garage; Solid steel construction delivers a 55-pound load capacity.
I don't know why people buy this baconnaise. Get two coated accessory hooks ($2 each at Home Depot), anchor them into your ceiling studs, and hang your bike by the rims. No dealing with stupid ropes or other Racor brand garbage.
#10, #12 - my garage is almost 2 story height. I seriously don't like this product and the hooks I would never be able to reach. Any other suggestions?
Buy a gravity stand or hang your bikes vertically on the wall. There's no reason to make bike storage more complicated than it has to be, and this Racor device is overkill.

It's a decent hoist, but you'll need to supply your own rope.
Heidelbergensis has no use for this. His bicycle cannot fit in the same pink troll with him, nor is there even a wall in the tent to hang this.
#2 Can said person even fit on a bike?
got mine for $13 shipped elsewhere
Well I need it shipped to my house. Shipped elsewhere does me no good.
I bought it for $16 from Amazon back in Dec 2007, and it's still in its box. It's doing way better than any stock I'm holding...
Yep these are not bad - the rope they give you is poor at best.
It must suck when that rope loosens from it's anchor in the middle of the night.
This would be great if I had any legs.

Must be for storing the flying bikes from the movie "ET."
#10 is correct. Get the elongated hooks.
