I did a similar thing with 2 .69 hooks which I put in the ceiling.
I hung the bike by its tires. No rope to get in the way.
I use this for a very heavy folding ladder and it works great.
#1 - Some folks have very high garage ceilings so hoisting is the only viable option.
Maybe I can do this in the Living room. I already paid for the high ceiling... might as well use the cubicfootage...
