^ Apparently this is a clone/knockoff, not the William Mark Co. Air Swimmer. Boxes look different and there is a 2nd knockoff called an Air Ranger, and sites selling more knockoffs where they even misleadingly link to the Air Swimmer youtube video:

Actually, only the William Mark RF exclusive for TRU was ever $50. The IR versions were always cheaper. These cheap knockoffs were also always below $50.
TRU is still selling their exclusive version for $50, so apparently people are actually buying it at that price.
