Yeah, if it doesn't use gas, how can it give up to 10 mpg? Copy is inane.

My son has this same espark was great while it lasted. For $65 its a deal cuz i paid $100 and that was on sale at sears last christmas. This does go 10mph and their is a version that goes 15mph. It worked for about 6 months he would plug it in then ride for several hours, one day he charged it and it would not run although battery light showed charged, all he did was ride up and down the drive way so not abused, but heck for $65 considering what the regular price is its a sweet deal.

    #2 it shows:
    Replaceable Spark cartridge
    Rechargeable battery

What kind of battery is it? If it's NiCD, there's techniques to getting some more use out of them -pretty easy too. Same goes for Dewalt batteries. Basically get a power source of 2x the value of the cells you're reviving, hook one lead up to correct polarity, then tap the other a few times. Check out youtube on this. There may be something there. People also report success with welders
Whatever y'all do, don't attempt juicing up a Lithium battery with this technique!

Odds are high it has a SLA battery, not only is that what would fit into the product price, additionally the manual I link below claims 250 recharge cycles which is too low for any other common battery tech, but the manual also clearly lists that it contains sealed lead acid batteries.

Use a multimeter if you have one to confirm that it really is holding a ~ 13.(n)V charge when you try to power it (prop up powered wheel in the air so it stays stationary).

Odds are it has a fuse that blew, should be relatively easy and inexpensive to fix. This is assuming you are aware it has an overload breaker that if tripped would need to be re set with the switch or button.

Shorted NiCd cells can have their shorting dendrites burnt away with the technique Interloper refers to or similar, but by the time cells are shorted there are several dendrites growing. Reviving the cell(s) tends to be a short term measure and the pack will get worse and worse still.
