I really do not see the savings from new to refurbished. As an example I site the 32GB unit is only $40 off the regular price for the second gen and only $20 for the first gen.

Call me crazy but I do not understand this?

It's pretty simple actually. I'll explain it to you.

The refurbished 2nd generation, 32 GB touch is $40 LESS than the non-refurbished unit. This nets you a savings of? That's right, $40!!!!
      Keep following.

The refurbished 1st generation, 32 GB touch is $20 LESS than the non-refurbished unit. This nets you a savings of? (Hint: refer back to the first example if you are having trouble)
      Right again, $20!!!!

jlayman920 - tiburoncito2000 is trying to say that it does not make sense that the second generation ipod has a larger price difference between New/Refurbished versus the first generation ipod.

i second what #1 said. in fact, if you go to costco, it's only $10 more for the 16g ipod touch.

Fragile crap with a very good marketing engine behind it.

I laugh my ass off every time I see a burp clueless moron with one of these things. They have no idea they were ass raped by a company that produces nothing but tired baconnaise that breaks if you look at it too hard.

I am still using my 4G ipod for listening to music. The 1G touch that I have is pretty much used as a nifty PDA, haven't seen a reason to plop music on there. Looking forward to the third generation touch, though!

#6, that's why you buy it at Sam's Club. The price cheaper and if it breaks 5 years down the road, you take it back for refund or replacement.
