I personally like to have 2 iPods. I like a shuffle for mountain biking. You can change songs or volume without even looking it it. The thing is nearly bullet proof with an aluminum chassis the size of a quarter and a strong spring that can hang onto my camelbak and withstand any jostling. Then I like the Nano for better sound quality and the ability to have playlists and see what song is playing. That's it for me. I don't need to watch videos on a tiny screen or play games. I have docks on all my stereos so I can plug my nano in wherever I want.

I hope the headphones are new and not refurbed - I don't want anyone else's ear wax comingling with my own...

Have gotten 3 ipods from Apple all refurbs since 2003 and all of them are still working. Always a safe buy when they offer same warranty as new unit.

tempted to get 8g touch for internet browsing. does it have same browser as iphone?

netbooks are not competition to these, especially my asus which spends most of it's days at asus service centers.

I got a refurbed 2nd-gen 8GB Touch off of buy.com last time they had them for $180. It is literally the coolest thing I have ever owned.

Apple refurbs are top notch. The exterior, battery and earphones are all brand new.

Looks like a decent deal since ebay sellers want new prices for a used unit.

#13, as #12 said: yes these are scratch-free. According to Apple, they have new earbuds, new batteries, and new outer shell.
