No reason to buy these when you can still get those better-quality Verbatim DVD+R's from NE for $16 shipped.

Well, the NE ones require a rebate. Id prefer these to cut out the hassle.. Are these worth a baconnaise, or just worth baconnaise.

I've heard that these are the worst brand... but I have about 200 of them and don't recall an issue burning or playing them.

Good point, #2, but I've never had any trouble with the ever-present Verbatim rebates, the inherent PITA of any rebate aside.
As far as DVD quality goes, if you're the gullible type like me and believe everything you read, check:

    http://www.digitalfaq.com/reviews/dvd-media.htm

I've relied on it and haven't been steered wrong yet. Ritek make second-class media by their account. Not complete crap, but not Verbatim/Taiyo Yuden/Sony quality. Given that we may very well be onto some other medium for digitized entertainment in the distant future, if you're getting good burns and images are holding up well on "second-class" stuff, whether it will only last another 10 years as opposed to 20 or 50 probably doesn't matter much. Something to consider, anyway.
Me, I just buy Verbatim/T-Y and call it a day.

Does anyone know if these are logoed on the front? Or are they blank. I can't tell from the NE site.

I switched from TY DVD-Rs to Verbatim DVD+Rs. The Verbatims are less than half the price of TYs. IMO, the TYs just aren't worth it anymore. As an added bonus I don't have to deal with crap stores like Supermediastore anymore.

In my experience, I've had less compatibility issues with a -r over any +r, no matter the brand.

Ritek 16x code F16 are not worth buying. Poor quality and unreliable media. If you value your time and do not want to wear out your DVD burner, stay away from this product.

It is not that all Ritek DVD disks are bad, I had very good burns with Ritek 4x code G04 disks but these F16 disc are junk. About 1 out of 3 will be bad with high PI error counts. Do NOT try burning these at 16x as you will have errors in a major way.
