i know rock band 2 is out. should i buy this set and then buy rock band 2 disc.?

seems like a good idea, the rb2 special is almost 190, so rb1se + $60 rb2 disc only, seems like a better deal. basically get the rb1 disc for free, thought the new instruments are supposed to be wireless and there has been a few improvements to them

i'd recommend holding out for the newer instruments. just picked up the GHWT set, and they are quite an improvement over the previous gen's.

I belive the RB2 instruments are supposed to be compatible GH:WT and vice-versa. Also, (and correct me if I'm wrong) both are backwards compatible with RB1 and the GH games. That's what I've heard, at least.

If you have rock band 2, you can copy rock band 1 tracks to your 360 hd to use in rockband 2. Thats another reason why the price of this has tanked since doing this gives them all the tracks to do without owning it. I suggest getting a metal plate for the pedal as they break easily. Soon you will be on your way to 100,000 points and will be rock stars!

I bought Guitar Hero: world tour. How is this one compared to Guitar hero?

yea how is this compare to the other gears, can this be use in all of current billion rock band & guitar hero games out there? and in the future?

The hardware for Rock Band 2 is better. The drums are quieter, more durable and more accurate. The guitar is more durable. This Rock Band 1 equipment IS compatible with Guitar Hero World Tour.

#15 without a doubt. Plus the tracks on-disc are much better in RB2. Better party options as well.
