These are cheap Chinese lenses. It is actually the worst 14mm lens you can buy. Flare, chromatic aberration, barrel distortion, dull image.
I completely disagree with mcnabney. I have one of these and it's a great lens, the Canon equivalent is 5x as much. Maybe mcnabney just got a bad lens? One thing that can happen with these cheaper lenses is that they don't have great QA before they get shipped.
I have the 35mm version for Canon. Great for production video. The 14mm version.the sample photos online don't instill confidence...
