I have the Pentax version of this and it's a really fun lens and good value. I felt like I got a good deal for ~$260 maybe 18 Months ago so the price here is good.

Yes #2, I think the same lens is available as Bower, Pro Optic, and a few other names. If it's 8mm f/3.5 and MF chances are it's the same lens.
