Ends 12/12 at 9PM PT. 1SaleADay has the refurbished Roku 2 XD 1080p Streaming Player (3050R) for $40 + $5 shipping = $45 shipped. The XD model features 1080p streaming video in addition to built-in 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a microSD memory slot.
I don't see a lot of reasons to buy anything that's not Android, for this appliance category. Mini-PC based on Android can be sourced for $65 and have the size of a thumb drive, maybe a little larger.
These are not bad boxes, even the refurb ones. Shipping is a bit slow, but worth the savings. I had an android 4.0 box and none of the apps I wanted to used, such as Netflix, youtube, hulu+ worked on it. They would not even come up. I had to dig around and get the older versions of the apps that still worked. Painful process. Then Netflix and Pandora would stutter, even with full wifi signal. Android boxes are the future, but they are far from ready for primetime. Android boxes are harder to navigate without the touchscreen.
The Roku boxes are limited, but everything I have tried so far works, and its smooth. The remote-control app on the phone is a big plus.
Refurbs already? Not a good sign
stay away from 1SaleADay. non-existant customer service and shipping the speed of a 3 toed sloth
Will this thing pipe my PC screen image to the TV?

I would stay away from this vendor.
I almost forgot the order, then suddenly I received it after two months or more.
