I find this or the PS3 to be the best option for Netflix on a TV. I have both of these and a HTPC hooked up to my TV and I think the Roku is a great option. It's also nice that they are slowly adding some other content to roku but so far most of it is not all that impressive.
I keep hoping that one day networks will allow me to subscribe to them over IP with something like the Roku and pay $1 - $5 a month for just each channel I want. I would be happy to pay $5 a month for all the Discovery channels over IP. Or $1 a month for History Channel or some options like this.
Roku also has HBOgo which if you are already subscribed to HBO is worth it as you can stream programs on demand.
This is a remarkable device. Netflix HD looks stunning with this on a plasma. I hope the networks, studios and cable idioots don't kill streaming technologies for their greed.
