This thing has worked as expected for me. I bought it from Newegg last August for the same price. Price is decent.

Shouldn't this be more like $7? Seems a little high to me.

"Supports USB powered opertaion." Looks like Ben is posting things in French again. Come on Ben... don't you know Spanish is the official language of the United States these days? (That's bacon... US - with periods - is converted simply to 'U'. Why Ben? Is it wrong to state the name of our own home country now?) Let the flaming begin...

I ordered one of these at the same time that I ordered an upgrade to my laptop's HDD. That way, when I got the new drive, I just removed the old drive from the laptop, slammed the new drive in and loaded the OS. Put the old drive into this Roswell external drive case, and PRESTO! Instant Back-up of Data. Slick.

I'm considering this with plans like what #6 did, only I intend to gently place my old laptop drive within the cool caress of this loving case. Slamming is bad for the hard drives. I may even play some Mozart while singing a lullaby to my precious hard drive. I'm just thoughtful like that.

But seriously - a good enclosure is worth the extra cost, and this isn't too bad a price. Any personal opinions from folks here?
