#2, 2000Mbps is a marketing specification, but it just means the switch can operate in full-duplex mode (transmit and receive simultaneously) at 1Gbps in both directions.

Rosewill is Newegg's house brand, you can't really judge the quality of one product based on the quality of another product with the Rosewill brand. Several different manufactureres make different Rosewill products.

Newegg has a good return policy, if you have a problem just return it for a refund or exchange.

For home use, performance isn't going to vary much between different gigabit switches, except some support jumbo frames and some don't.

To get this to work unmanaged, do you just connect this (Port 1) to an existing router and it will work as an extension of that device?

#5, you can uplink with any port on this switch, but yes.
