Yeah on the surface that does seem sort of high, though the PSU is arguably pretty good, tested to output 650W and rated for 50C temperature continuous output.

Non-SLI/Crossfire systems including those used for gaming won't need as expensive a PSU as this and while it has a 7 year warranty you have to wonder if 7 years from now Rosewill will be making (actually I mean carrying, Rosewill is a shell company that doesn't manufacture) anything that is a suitable replacement for it... designs usually change within that period.

The real question is whether you like the case, when spending close to $150 you have a few options and it only weighs 13 lbs which isn't very much for a build where you're putting down $100 on your PSU and probably dual high performance video cards.

Relatively speaking the case would be outclassed by the rest of the system which may not be all that big a deal if it is just sitting under your desk as that seems optimal for this design given the top-front mounted audio, USB ports, and power switch.

Somethings wrong here while the Challenger isn't a bad budget gaming case it is $50 tops and in this combe it should be considered more like $40. Where it goes wonky is there are plenty of really nice 650W PSU that would be as good or better and you'd be hard press to spend $70 working a rebate. To say that FORTRESS-650W can command $110 is just nuts, while it has 4x 6+2-Pins PCI-E... IDK running two PowerColor PCS+ AX7970 in C-F just seems monumentally unreal for 650W, while the few Eggviews don't instill confidence. Shocked

    I'd go FSP Group RAIDER 650W $70 -AR$10 shipping $6... sure it only 2x 6+2-Pin PCI-E, but that's much more believable for 50-54A on +12V.
