Here's link to an identical looking unit from Meritline for $6 including shipping:

My last multi-format card reader was crap. I don't expect a lot from such a device at this price, but corrupting cards, failing to read cards, and occasionally working made me toss it. Anyone have experience as to whether this one would be any better?

#2 (eddot): The Meritline unit doesn't specify whether it can read SDHC cards. I've been told that was a shortcoming on some units, and I'm wondering if the Meritline unit falls into this category.

#4, obviously you are correct that the information on the web site for the unit is silent on SDHC cards. Since I am interested in getting one of these from them also, I e-mailed them on their site asking that question. If I get a reply, I will post it here. Unfortunately, that's probably a big if.

The Newegg unit is back for $8 with free shipping. The Meritline people didn't get back to me yet. So, I'll probably get this one.
