Newegg has the Rosewill REGD-6361 3-in-1 Detector Metal/Voltage/Stud Detector with LCD Display for $13 with free shipping. Features sound indicator, power shortage warning, weight 0.32 lbs and 1 year warranty, battery not included.
I was actually going to buy one of these this morning, but for the love of God, Newegg's stupid checkout server was effing up again. I could browse the site just fine but as soon as I'd try to view cart or check out, I'd get a timeout waiting for secure.newegg.com or whatever that server is called. WTF, Newegg, quit running your web servers on 486s.
*BEEP*
Well the stud finder works...

At least get some Pentium 90s.
I've never looked for a 3-in-1 but if I did this would probably help.
So sorry Bob, I meant to flip it's switch from voltage to stud before telling you where to drill that wall anchor...
reviews are 50/50. If they make these as well as they make their power supplies, you might want to put on some oven mitts before use.
I bought one the last time it was on sale a month or so ago. Seems to work as advertised; I haven't used it too heavily.
