Newegg has the Rosewill RLFL-11001 3W 220 Lumen Cree LED Aluminum Flashlight for $40 - $20 off with coupon code EMCYTZT998 [Exp 12/25] = $20 with free shipping. Features long lifetime Cree XP series LED, aircraft-grade aluminum, and five different lighting modes.
Most of what I have bought of the Rosewill brand has been computer related items, but all have exceeded my expectations for the price. YMMV, and apparently has.
The problem is 'egg will slap the name on anything they get a good volume price on. Most of the stuff is worth the price when on sale but none of it is high spec stuff.
-- What kind of bad experience did you have? -- Anybody know if I should order this? I'm instead considering the one from DinoDirect.
Two different flashlights. The one on DD is substantially brighter, uses a different battery format that less common, is substantially superior to 3 x AAA lights.
IMO, 3 x AAA lights should never cost more than $3. They're junk. Designed that way for only one reason, to maximize consumer inconvenience and cost, in an attempt to maximize profit.
I take that back, if you happen to have a shedload of stuff that takes AAA cells to the point where you stockpile AAA batteries, having a flashlight that uses the same power source/format makes more sense. Otherwise, 3 x AAA is an inferior power source for a flashlight but it does save money when buying one of the $3 lights that use 3 x AAA IF (again) you had the batteries lying around.
#1 I have purchase tons of stuff from Newegg. Rosewill is part of NE Brand sort of like (House Brand). Never have any problems with any Rosewill products, all the stuff is good quailty or Better than expected.. About this flash light, I would'nt buy it. Cause is not that powerfull. Just a regular flash light. If you want something more powerfull buy something like this, Few bucks more its worth it.. I own over 100 rechargeable batteries, So I have no concern what or any types of batteries it use. These are good batteries. The link I attach, I been using it for all my flashlights and they are cheap.
-- Your ebay flashlight link says, "This listing () has been removed" -- You're still using 1800mAh batteries? I remember using those in 2000. I now have almost all 2200mAh, & some 2700mAh nowadays.
-- Thanks for the referral of not to buy this. I didn't know that "Rosewill is part of NE Brand sort of like (House Brand);" now I do.
#11 The 1800mAh is the AAA battries. I belive this is the highest you can go at eBay. unless someone prove me wrong?. Link Please.. Now about the AA battery I 'am using 2700mAh or higher. I lkie the way it last longer in all my digital electronics I seen 3200mAh on the AA battery. but!. cost a bit more.. About the flash light there's tons of flashlight you can choose at your own perferance.. At eBay, Just type in 1000 Lumens Cree LED Flashlight..
^ That item number pulls up the light plus 2 x 18650 and charger for $27 delivered.
That's not a "bad" price per se, but there are other XM-L lights with charger and 2 x 18650 on ebay for at least a couple dollars cheaper delivered w/Buy-it-now, maybe even cheaper still at auction.
Yes, #14 I seen it goes for 20 bucks shiped. You just got to do a little homework and search.. Some of the auction, I email the seller and ask them about a full case and pellets price then ask them to sell me one for sample. Most of the seller discount the item.. Theres a few that do it only if you buy pellets or cases.. Some of the auctions, you can make a offer. But!. you have to reasonable. Not to ask too deep of a discount. Best way it to find out what the average price goes for then make offer..
#9 I've tried a few different items from them and it has always turned out worse than going with a "real" brand name. In particular I've tried a USB hub, laptop cooler and a network switch and they all resembled the lowest quality build available. Maybe they've gotten better in the past couple years, but for an item like a flashlight I wouldn't rely on them as my emergency light for when everything goes dark. I usually find their products comparable to what you can expect from Meritline or any of the cheaper overseas stores.
I wouldn't even trust Rosewill toilet paper. Rosewill really brings Newegg down a peg.
I asked Rose if she will and she did

Maybe this flashlight won't break down on me like the old one that i have.

#12, if you use the Item Number in #11 post 320812368427 , you will get the auction for the flashlight.

Neweggs prices have been inflated this season.
