Wow....this is possibly the dumbest thing I have seen made by Rosewill! Think about it...you're SITTING in the car...where's a better place to hold your LAPTOP, than in YOUR LAP??? Rolling Eyes

How about mounting it to the windshield so you don't spill coffee on it?

Putting it on your lap doesn't work, passengers get annoyed that you can't hold the steering wheel while driving, you have to keep taking your eyes off your facebook page to tweet about not being able to honk at people driving too slow because the horn button is blocked too, and the laptop ends up sitting at a funny angle if you're watching good pron.

Besides which, you get better reception for war driving if it's up a little higher so the metal doors aren't blocking the antenna as much.

That's cheap compared to the Jotto brand, but they've been in the business since law enforcement has been using laptops in their vehicles.

^ I'm too lazy to check on this one but generally it's bolted to the floor panel. If you cut slits in the carpeting instead of having a drill chew it up, then later when you remove it the carpet will look better, though still with a depression where it was compressed. I suppose you could cut out an entire patch of carpeting then put it back later but I suspect the cut lines would be more visible than just slits. Then again, on a used car that minor blemish is the least of concerns.
