Newegg has the Rosewill RNX-A2-EX 2.4 GHz Indoor Omni-Directional (2 dBi x3) Wi-Fi Antenna Extender for $10 - $3 off with coupon code EMCJJJG63 [Exp 11/19] = $7 with free shipping. Features 2.4~2.5GHz with support for 802.11b/g/n, 2.0 dBi @2.4 GHz maximum gain, reverse SMA Plug connector, and is compatible with all 2x3 and 3x3 wireless adapters and routers.
requires 3 connection jacks, such as on the back of a PCI card.
alternatively you could use 2 SMP-RP T-adapters if you only have 1 jack.
or just hook up the # of antennas that you have sockets available for with the ability to support more later. However, and I could be wrong, it looks like the antenna elements themselves are snap fit into the base, not RP-SMA terminated themselves so you don't have the option of upgrading to higher gain antenna elements and still (re)use the base.
ben the SMP-RP T-adapters are for the antenna cables not the actual antenna.
^ Right, but I meant that some antenna bases have RP-SMA connectors on them so you can swap in different antenna elements while this one doesn't. Of course those tend to cost more too so...
The antennas are not removable, although they do fold and can rotate. I have my router in an end table drawer with this used on the table top. My signal is much improved from what it was before. I am able to use my laptop three houses away at a decent speed.
