Newegg has the Rosewill RSL-113 Dual Head PIR Solar Light for $25 with free shipping. Features 3 x 1300mAh Ni-MH AA built-in batteries, 2 x 1W LED light, up to 18 foot motion detection, and a 16 foot cable.
I purchased the 1 LED version a couple weeks ago and it works great. This one is the 2 LED version so I'm expecting it to have even more light. With the 1 LED, I was able to light a dark basement corridor and see at least 15 ft with ample light. I prefer the 2 LED one so I'm going to return the 1 LED one and get the 2 LED one.
I have two of the 2 LED ones in my back yard and it's enough light to see where you're going. I'll be picking up a 2 LED for one more sport that needs light.
#5 (mjdabney) the single LED is nowhere near as bright as a plug in light but bright enough see where you're going. The dog loves it and has figured out how to get it to light her a spot. What I really like is that it uses rechargable AA batteries which should be changed out every 12-18 months. Just don't expect much output if you live someplace where it gets below freezing. Non-lithium batteries loose output in when it's very cold.
For areas that don't get enough sun for solar I use a 2xD battery powered motion sensor light from Amazon.
Does this work better than a candle? Anyone used one?
In the bedroom? Nah. Stick with candle.

Thanks, hope this gives off more light than my solor led landscape lights.
