    The smaller kits are pratical for PC repair. I do not know anyone that needs a soldering iron for repair, we just replace the part.

    The iron comes in handy when replacing a resistor or cap on a board. Ive personally acquired a few up-to-date laptops that have had the wrong power supply plugged in and it blew a single thing on the board. Pretty easy fix when the all mighty geeksquad says the entire machine is fried.

    Granted, it helps having some friends that are not computer literate by any means that buys a new one when something small happens to it.

    #5's 145pc set doesn't look too bad. Oh well, too bad I just bought the 45pc set. Sad part is I need a T6 torq screw yet mine doesn't have it and I don't feel like spending tons more money to get it.
