Newegg has the Rosewill RX-DU101 2.5" & 3.5" SATA to USB HDD Dock for $20 - $5 off with coupon code EMCNDJE23 [Exp 6/17] = $15 with free shipping. Supports hot swapping and hard drives up to 2TB.
I also approve of this model as I have had more for over a year and have been happy with it.
But if I were to need a new one, I'd go for the USB3/eSATA version as USB2 and USB3 ports are compatible with most if not all devices. You just cant take advantage of USB3 capabilities with a USB2 port (or device).
I got one of this- works well for me. My 1st impression is : this unit look just like a clone copy of Thermaltake BlacX.- Same style same placement of everything - even the power button is the exactly the same style . However that's what Rosewill is... Design wise: I do prefer to have the power on/off button placed in the front instead of back( same as Thermaktake unit). That way you can have easier access of the button. Instead you have to reach out to the back and feel where the button is. As HDD capacity increase- I will only go for eSATA or USB3 port for the speed and efficiency.
To the guy vote me thumb down: Thank you for your support but it is really nothing to me. Maybe you can vote me thumb down on this post too. Looking forward to see your vote soon.
Now is the time when egg ought to be giving these away free with HDD purchases.
Regardless, I'm happy with mine and now having used it for over a year, I'd pay $15. USB3 version is $25, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182237

My first one had some kind of melt down after about a year, and the second one I received was DOA, so I'm not as warm to this one as I once was...
