Is there something I have to do? I see 4 or 5 airlines including American for the same $300.

    American Airlines sucks!
Those old carriers just don't get it, they are living in the past.

Try Jet Blue they are awesome!

Honestly, no airline is perfect, but Jet Blue gets close to it.
Love the free Live Direct satellite TV's and XM radio.

Such a better product than Southwest IMO.
Even the food is better and you can buy real food too, it tasted great!

Who give a frick about the food or TV and radio? Surely you get enough food, tv and radio every other day of the year and can wait a few hours? Price is king.

This might be a deal if it was going somewhere other than NYC.

#4 even if you have to pay about 75 cents to go to take a pee in flight?
An Irish airline plan to introduce this charge on their flights to increase revenue.
Imagine the stampede to the restrooms when the planes land!

JetBlue only flys domestic (some Caribbean places too). They are probably the best ride and usually on the cheap side. Their flyer rewards program isn't great; points expired 1 year after the flight.

#8 - Ryanair often charges under 50 euro for a flight, and given that the vast majority of their flights are on continental europe or to the UK, i'm sure most people can figure out peeing at the terminal first.

that said, on cross continent or trans-pacific/atlantic flights, i damn well want my power, entertainment, wi-fi, and edible food.

I don't know anyone that wants to go to NYC. Not a single person. The Statue of Liberty looks better from a distance anyways.

You get a choice #6 - it's either cheaply or alive, not both.

Hey Philster be ny friend. I was born in NYC and will share a ride. There you have it. If I could make it there I'd make it anywhere it's up to you New York New York. It's just a place, to those that grew up there - it's a special place.

The way to get around the charge to use the bathroom is to just make the windows openable in flight. At least for the guys.

#16 diapers are an optional extra. Reminds of the supermarket manager in S America somewhere that would not allow his cashiers 'pee' breaks but he did provide diapers!
