Amazon has the Rubbermaid Commercial Brute HDPE 50-Gallon Rollout Trash Can w/ Lid (grey) for $60 with free shipping. Made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) which repels moisture, and has 8-inch rolling wheels. Same one is $122+ everywhere else.
If you want the longest lasting trash can your best bet is to buy two smaller ones instead of one large. That way the ratio of plastic to trash (weight) is higher and with it weighing less the trash man may not bang it against the truck as hard when it's emptied, which seems to be one of the leading causes of damage.
There are much better trash cans of similar size, at a lower price. Visit Home Depot and Walmart, or even Target.
^ What makes them much better? These are pretty thick and the HDPE holds up well.
Can be used as a clandestine observation post for tactical night time neighborhood toilet papering operations...
Exactly how do you ship something like this? I can't see this traveling in a UPS truck.
@notaguru I looked at all those, there is nothing cheaper. Unless you can provide links?
HD & Walmart their trash can is JUNK ( Wheels fall off or break, bottom crack after 1 winter....list go on). I forgot to mention OVERPIRCE too.
@superchey - I was wondering the same thing.
Rubbermaid is notorious for making terrible lids. I'd pay $10 more for this one. Search for model # 025564-01GRS at Home Depot.

I'm too cheap to buy trash cans. Instead, I dump my trash in #1's trash can because he buys the best.
Is the the 3 or 6 zombie capacity model?
