Amazon has the Rubbermaid Commercial Brute HDPE 50-Gallon Rollout Trash Can w/ Lid (grey) for $60 with free shipping. Made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) which repels moisture, and has 8-inch rolling wheels. Same one is $122+ everywhere else.
These are not a good deal. You can get a Toter can the same size for a couple more dollars and sales tax at Lowes or Home Depot. I fell for this deal thinking If I was not happy I could send them back to Amazon. I got a return authorization and was told I have to pay the return shipping but would be reimbursed up to $34.00 UPS wanted $46.00 for return shipping. So looks like I am stuck with to cheap poor quality cans.
I also picked up a Toter brand 64 gallon can a few years ago at Wally World. Three years of our asshat trash collector trying his best to destroy it has failed so far. Most of my neighbors cans of different brands have the wheels and lids broken off. Apparently they train these clowns to drop them on the pavement from shoulder high after emptying them in the truck's dumpster thingy. I think I paid about 70 bucks for mine, but it is larger than this Rubbermaid model.
Good reviews but it's $55 at Home Depot.
I'll just wait until my neighbor rolls his out and take it. I'll spray paint my address on it so he won't know it used to be his.
My friendly collectors still broke this by repeatedly slamming the handle on the truck a few months ago.
