i bought this previously when it was a shell shocker and it works well enough.
switching between computers is fairly quick, but that probably has more to do with the computer hardware and operating systems and not the kvm because it doesn't appear to emulate the usb devices as every time you switch between computers windows dings and says it detects the new usb device(s).
