Update: Price Drop. It is now $46 with free shipping.
Buy.com has the Saitek Eclipse II Illuminated Keyboard PK02U for $47 with free shipping. Features 104 key layout, USB interface, media keys for volume control, play/pause and skip tracks.
The gaming keyboards are higher quality than normal keyboards. they are built to withstand the pounding they get from gamers, so they last longer and work better for normal use, too. It makes them a bit more expensive, but worth it in my opinion.
#3 is a plant for Saitek or just dumb. Millions of complaints about the paint rubbing off all Saitek keyboards making the keys unreadable. Sometimes this happens within two weeks. Also, spontaneous failures of their keyboards. One day it works, the next day it doesn't. Saitek has thumb up their ass about these problems and refuses to fix them. They do have a forum so owners of these crap keyboards can cry together.
If you want a real backlit keyboard in blue, red, green, or white, go to www.deckkeyboards.com
"One LED per key lights the individual characters - and they will never rub off!"
This is a very good keyboard.
This is pretty much the going price at most e-tailers.
