Had one of these working properly for one day before the keys began to stick to a point where it was unusable. Then returned it. Sure was fun while it lasted.
I have an older Saitek illuminated keyboard (about two years old) and it works great. Don't know a thing about the newer ones. Also have a Saitek joystick of the same age and it hasn't given me a bit of trouble.
I had one for about 11 months and it certainly looked nice in the dark. One key started to give me problems and I had to RMA the keyboard. I am still waiting for Saitek to give me an update.
no mention of key-presses/sec possible.

$50.. wow.. maybe it's cheaper to get a small black light to shine on the keyboard.
This is a decent keyboard.. but certainly not worth the price..
And most important to ME, all it is is dimly backlit keys. It's barely any help finding the keys in the dark.
What I really want is a LED PER KEY.. oh yea, you heard me. I also want a tool that lets me configure each LED individually.. ME! it's all about me!
#2 put a paper towel down over the keyboard the next time you are fist kebobing
