eBay with Beach Camera has the Samsung P-7510/M16 Galaxy Tab 10.1" Wi-Fi Android Tablet (GT-P7510MAYXAB) for $370 with free shipping. Features up to 14 hours battery life.
I am able to order it to replace my rooted nook color. Would somebody kind enough to give me one warning about this tablet before I click the bid button?
That's a super price for a new Galaxy. It is an excellent tablet -- my only reservation is that even with integrated accessories, I prefer the Asus Transformer, which acts more like a netbook when docked. The Galaxy is not quite so portable with keyboard.
I like the Asus Transformer too but thought it's a bit heavier than the Galaxy Tab. If the Asus Transformer carries the same discount as the Galaxy Tab now , I think I will get the Asus Transformer instead.
It's a good deal. I would also track down the keyboard/dock (you know it has a built-in battery, right?), which runs around $120. Weight-wise, I'd say regardless of the measured specs, the weight is pretty comparable on the two devices. The Galaxy is hands-down the sexier of the two, but the Transformer is a very close second.
I have an iPad2, a TouchPad and this one. Each has its own good and bad but Galaxy Tab is undoubtedly the best(even with its shortcomings like no sd card support). Its very light and thin and the display is gorgeous and is very sturdy. And sometime in March, it will get the official ICS, for now you can try the cm9 kang. And $370 for a brand new one is an awesome deal.
Actually battery life is about 9 - 10 hours. It's pretty much on par with the iPad with battery life. A negative about this tablet is that is has the possibility of developing netwon rings/ heat related issue with the touchscreen.

Well, turns out it's your lucky day -- B&H is selling the 16GB TF101 for $350:

Hmm thanks for the tip. Now I wish somebody outside of NY can get it for me 'cause I live there and had to pay tax. "Linsanity!"
14 hours battery life, I quite doubt it.
