Look at the link and this is NOT a HDTV it is a 1080 monitor. it has no tuner. Really, though, who uses the tuner anyway. Either you ahve a computer hookes up to it or you have a box from the cable or sat. company. Just keep it im mind if you are thinking of buying this "non-TV" HDTV.

The newegg picture of the 2333HD shows an Antenna in, and the specs say it has a "Built-in TV Tuner HDTV (ATSC) tuner"

So if it's a monitor it's a monitor with speakers and TV tuner. What in the old days we would call a TV.

Newegg specs would seem to disagree "Built-in TV Tuner HDTV (ATSC) tuner" Samsung's web site seems to agree with Newegg.

For the two people that have one, is it a good monitor? I'm in the market for a good 20"-24" monitor. I'm going to be buiding my own PC to hook up to it. I'll be using it for web surfing, Microsoft office work, and watching TV/DVD/Blu-Rays. I'll also probably be using it to make mpeg4 videos from my Blu-Rays and DVDs.

I am not much of a gamer so I don't care about that.

I will be using the TV tuner as I have just installed a nice antenna system to go along with my DirecTV system. I get about 20 different stations OTA.

Yes #8, FOR THE PRICE it is a decent TN panel TV/monitor... so the question is really will you settle for a TN panel to keep the price down, and do you mind it being only 23".

Try to find the TV tuner module as a repair part for the Samsung 24" TV version... your 2494HM chassis, IIRC, is one Samsung used for both the tv and non-tv version... or just buy an external tuner box like everyone else, or a regular PC tuner if you don't mind leaving the PC running (plus adds video capture/record options).

i have a 22" samsung monitor with tuner and i must say the backlight bleed surpasses that of my 22" acer by a large amount. it is almost off-putting.
