eh.... TN panel
TN Panel/?
Also how does this compare to the Dell Ultrsharp monitors?
Ultrasharp is MUCH better. Its not a TN panel. Basically you are trying to compare a $350 monitor with a $600 one. This is a bargain site but your not getting that good of a bargain.
A TN panel has poorer colors and reduced viewing angles, to name a few issues.
most large screen panels out there are TN panels now days.. pretty much anything less than $500 for a 24" is a TN panel.
TN panel is not as bad as the specs looks. I have a 22" HP w2207(TN panel) and it looks great. Perfect for gaming or whatever. But if you are into graphics arts or any computer graphics profession.. then you probably want a IPS or better for the full 8-bit color. But for gaming & such, the 6 bit color is quite vivid, there's no need to spend $300+ more for an IPS, at least I don't think it's worth the extra cost.
