Decent price. $20 less than Costco members can buy it at www.costco.com

But I think Costco generally has a better return policy than most retailers. http://www.costco.com/Service/FeaturePageLeftNav.aspx?ProductNo=10166081#Returns states: "We guarantee your satisfaction on every product we sell with a full refund. Exceptions: Televisions, projectors, computers, cameras, camcorders, iPOD/MP3 players and cellular phones must be returned within 90 days of purchase for a refund."

Hmmm, a monitor is not a computer or a television. Anyone know if monitors are limited to the Costco 90 day return policy? Costco has one of the best, if not the best, return policies of anyplace that I know of.

Good reviews everywhere and Samsung is known for making good quality LCD monitors. This is the cheapest this model has been so far so not a bad deal if you need it now.

Here's a lil info about samsung's customer service. I bought the 931BW on black friday 2006, it had 2 dead pixels but they were close to the edge of the screen and didnt bother me. After almost 2 yrs of use, the power button started to not work anymore. I called support and the sent me a replacement that i had to exchange my monitor at the USP store at the same time... They're replacement was not only scratched to hell on the bezel, but had 1 bright red/orange pixel 1 inch to the right of the center of the screen. After over 1 month, 8+hrs on hold and 4+hrs of dealing with customer service, the replacement is in transit back to them and they are issuing me a full refund for the price i paid 2 years ago. So... after being lied to and given the run around for a month, it appears the refund isn't a bad outcome, considering I can use it to upgrade this black friday.

#6 is correct. Costco/Samsung recently had stackable discounts/rebates that dropped the price to $300.

I checked out a unit at the warehouse (connected over DVI) and text looked sharp/easy on the eyes. Alas, it is a TN, so it has fast response times but not the best color reproduction or viewing angles.
