    Better yet, get a Panasonic. Dell had the Panny 50" for less than this last I knew after Bing cashback.

    Uh, #4, if you want to *watch* movies or TV, plasma is still superior to LCD. The LCDs are getting better but the artifacts, particularly motion artifacts, just drive me crazy -- can't stand to watch them.

    That said, this is a pretty low-end unit, although probably fine for lots of people, and an impressive price. I'd agree with #3, take a look at Panasonic.

    not a bad deal for the poor average Joe like me! It is only 720p but for the untrained eye is just better than VHS quality.

    This appears to be some kind of bullshit model that is only made for the sole purpose of Best Buy to sell this time of year to people who don't know the difference and are either too stupid or too lazy to figure it out that they are buying some made up model that isn't even comparable to anything.

    #2 - the 650 series is 1080P, and the 'extra loot'=~$500
