wish a good store like Newegg would match Fry's sales price on 500GB drives. Fry's has twice had 500GB on sale for $100, but tax for me bumps it to $109. So this isn't the lowest total price.
Agreed, #4. The Egg + tax = same price at other places. I've had excellent results with orders from ZipZoomFly so I usually buy from there because if the Egg also charges shipping then it's even less of a deal.
Great drive. Mine seems very, very quiet. I paid extra to get it from the Egg. I like NewEgg so much that if the price is even close, I get it from them. I live in Mass and with their new shipping center in NJ, stuff gets here very fast even with the cheapest shipping options.
Let me just add my praise for NewEgg. If the price on an item is even close at NewEgg to the price at someone else's site (and usually it is and often is even the best), I would buy from the Egg. They get 60% of my business, and the remaining 40% gets spread over 20 other sites.
It's their customer service, shipping processes, and RMA team that are top notch. AAA rating from the better business bureau.
