      $1098 + 99 = $1197
      $1198 - 200 + 99 = $1097

Is this a good TV and price?

I have been waiting for the Sharp 60" (last year model) to come under $1,000. I saw some of these deals last Christmas - not any more. The newer Sharp 60's are $1,200+

Dudes - it is super thick for being LED. I'll wait.

^ Unless you're wall mounting it, thicker is often better (all else being equal). That leaves more room for passive ventilation, often one of the first things to go out on LCD TVs & monitors is the power supply capacitors due to the heat.

It's thicker because it's full-array backlit (although it uses a smaller number of LED's than most and doesn't feature local dimming). It is a good TV but not quite as good as the EH5000 according to TelevisionInfo.com. I would not pay over $800 for it.
