I don't get what the deal is? It requires a 2 year activation to get the rebate anyways.

And when you start seeing $300 rebates on $700 items, you begin to wonder why no one is buying them.

I have this without contract from Verizon which has a black back. Wish I got it from Sprint which has a white back. Its great but it is expensive. I bought it when it came out just to have. The class 2 MicroSD is way slow so I had to upgrade that. My iPad doesn't fit in my pocket so I carry this around sometimes.

what do guys think of all the people who have ipads and really want this?
